There's No Art On This Blog

'Tis sad but true, there is a frightful small amount of art on this blog that was meant to inspire me to do more art...I have done some art, but I haven't posted anything. It is just that when school starts, I feel so incredibly busy, and incredibly tired. By the time that I get home, I do the necessary and that is it. I have been teaching art, you can view some of it here, and some from last year too.

Blessings.

I See The Light

This is what Gus looked liked before his hair cut today

This is what he looks like now
It took all day just to tidy up his face
He likes it I think
Look at the look on his face...he is saying "I can see, I can see"
Tomorrow we do the rest...with the clippers!

On Herding Sheep

Gus is in dire need of some sheep. Lately if we sit on our living room couches Gus runs around us in an effort to herd us. I don't mind this, it is what he was made for. He just starts running. Faster
and faster
around
and around.
He never tires of it.
It actually will make you nauseated if you watch him too closely. I would like to get him a sheep for Christmas, but I don't think that our house is large enough for livestock...However, if anyone comes across a stuffed sheep could you please let me know? I have looked but have had no luck.
I think that since he is a sheep dog he should have at least one sheep,

if not a entire heard.

Shiny, Happy People

Linds and Ryan
Proud and happy parents...and a snippet of the bride

Kari and Heather

Beautiful Girls

Heather and your's truly

The Owen's

The Datillo's

The Colsen's

The Longshore's, always willing to strike a pose

And this couple, I don't who they are, but I think that they are going to make it big!

So Here It Iz

Hair, Hams,
breakfast, bridesmaids,
roses, red,
tears, tuxes,
Beauty, blessings,
love, more love,
and a whole lot of other take your breath away moments made up our weekend of watching the Gillian's join their hearts forever.
Saturday was the kind of day I hope for everyday, but if every day brought that much joy you would never find them so wonderful. It was the kind of fun that makes even the grumpiest of people smile!
Weddings bring out a sentimental fool in me and it was doubly so watching a precious friend seal her love for life...So much so, that at a breakfast to honor her, I was so overwhelmed with gratefulness and happiness for her that tears came and surprised me!

Unfortunately, the only event that we had the camera for was the reception where the lighting was bad, so are pictures are not so great. My photoshopping is not so great either but here they are.
Mr and Mrs Jones appreciating all the love and posing a little!
She looked beautiful, this sad excuse for a photo does it no justice...just wait till you can go here to see pics of her and him, you'll be amazed!
Laura and her Hams...not sure why they are called Hams, but I'm glad they were there

Hands down, best day in September!

Here Comes The Bride

This weekend marks the day when my dear friends Laura and Slim will bind their lives together never to be separate again. I couldn't be happier for them and feel blessed that they asked me and Kev to be part of their day. Despite the sad excuse of a blog that this has become since school commenced session again, I will do my best to post as much as I can from this happy event. Stay posted.....

Sunrise Sunset

Every time my parents come to visit my mother has one desire, and that is that she would like to see "a real Florida sunset," to quote her exactly. We have been unsuccessful at this many times. Most of the time it is because there is storm brewing and the clouds are covering the sun. Sunday night we drove down to the beach and we missed it literally by seconds. As we pulled onto the parking lot we caught a glimpse of the big, orange, fiery ball and by the time we got out of the car it was gone! Monday night we were determined not to miss it, however back at the house it was very overcast and I thought that once again my mother was not going to get her request. Down at the beach though the sun was setting and it was a beautiful example of a simple blessing that we often overlook. Hope you enjoyed it Mom.

Oh What Fun It Is To Boat

My parents were here this weekend. I wish that they lived here all the time b/c we had tons of fun. Monday we took a boat out on the Estero Bay. Gus came and so did the Gillians. Great day, great fun. Here are some pics to document our trip.

Mom, Gus, and I hair blowing in the breeze

I wonder what they're looking at

Oh look, the Gillians...they are getting married in 1 week!

Dad and I...I am driving

Captain Gus!

Oh dad...basking in the sun
Mr. and Mrs. Jones, lovely!

Happy Tails To You

I have cat,
His name is Trouble.
I have had Trouble for a very long time, much longer than our fluffy faced canine. To say that Trouble was upset when we brought Gus into our home is an understatement. Before Gus, he was a fun loving cat, full of playfulness, and he always had a happy tail (this is when a cat walks on his tip toes with his tail pointing straight up). Now that there is a dog in the family, he is only loving when Gus is not around, he rarely plays, and he only has a happy tail once in a while. However, I thought that I would never see the happy tail again after Gus crashed into him full speed two weeks ago crushing his tail between his body and the couch. Trouble let out a noise that could only mean pain and after examining his tail I could tell that it was starting to swell. He could absolutely not lift his tail up....it was very sad.
Good news though, I am happy to report that this morning when Trouble was alone with us in our room he slink and slipped around my legs on the tippiest of toes, tail strait up!

Here is the recovered kitty, not cooperating completely, but you can see he looks happy non-the-less.

The Secret Reader

I don't who it is, but someone who I do not know is reading my blog. Last night when I was on my way home through the back side of the neighborhood a strange phenomenon had taken place. You can imagine my surprise when I looked up to find that nearly all the shoes that had been strung over the lines had disappeared. I don't who took them down anymore than I know who put them up there. My suspicion is that someone is reading my blog and realized that it could be drug dealers and decided to take them down for the sake of the neighborhood! Weird...but probably not as weird as these last two post, I will make an attempt to be more normal.
