It's Tradition

Photobucket
Last year, on the weekend after Thanksgiving, when my mom and I were decorating ginger bread houses together, I distinctly remember saying that it would probably be the last year we would be able to sit for hours and continue this tradition.  I was right, the weekend flew on by and we never got the chance to decorate our houses.

My parents came for a visit this weekend and brought the kits with them.  Mom and the Little carried on the tradition, even if it was a couple of weekends late.  I was busy doing something, even though I can't remember what that was, but I know I kept thinking that what ever I was working on couldn't have been as important as decorating ginger bread houses with my family.

This is her finished product.  Truth be told she was much more interested in eating the sprinkles than decorating with them.  Right before I took this pictures the corners of her mouth were smeared with green sugar.
Yum.

My day today probably would have been better if I had green sugar smeared around the corners of my mouth too.
Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.

Grace and Peace
