Firsts

School has been in session for well over a month now, and my September babies are a month past their birthdays, so I need to add all of this before the memories slip through my brain.
First day of kindergarten.
Ever cool and confident because that's just the way she is.  This girl amazes me.  Sometimes she catches me off guard and I am reminded just how very grown up she is.
On her first day as a kindergartner she claimed she could count to 100 and that she wanted to live to be 100 years old.
I hope that she does, if the Lord wills it.  Maybe even more.
  First double birthday.
So maybe I wont do that again.  Big party, big crowd, and I'm pretty sure that I forgot that Cooper was turning 1, as well as Libby turning 6.  I'm glad that we did it though.  I love to celebrate birthdays, the planning is a bit much.
Liberty loves, loves learning about animals, so we invited a man who has a travelling reptile show to our house.  He didn't tell me about his spider on his website...
The birthday boy was asleep before the guests arrived.
Here we are with a snake around our necks.
And here is a picture worth documenting because my husband hates, hates, hates snakes.  It was a funny moment because I actually thought that Kev might hit the reptile man for putting the snake that close to him!
This little lizard, whatever he was called, shed his skins all over my living room.
Here I am with a tarantula crawling up shirt. Do you know how afraid of spiders I am, or I was before this moment in my life.  Holy cow he's hairy!
The baby alligator was everyone's favorite.
Most of the kids enjoyed the tortoise also, he wasn't as scary as the spider.
I love Mag's little face.  She thought an alligator on her head was so silly!
The cakes.  Bless Cooper, he loved his cake but after it was served all the kids ran to the present table and he was just left there, him and the cake.  I'm sure he didn't mind one bit.
Of course Libby loved opening gifts, but I have to say that I've never seen a little one more excited to get presents than our little Coop.  I think this is due to the fact that he got mostly things with wheels.  He was so excited to finally have a toy that belonged to him...
Another party for the books...I'm exhausted just thinking about planning another one.
Maggie asks everyday if it's time for her party yet?
Until then...Well, hopefully before then :)
Grace and Peace
