Start Your Engines

Jingle Bells!
It's that time of year again.  The time when I spend a few minutes each day ignoring my laundry to remember to countdown the days until the Big Day.
I've got thirty minuets to post my welcome here, so I'll keep it short.

My life since our baby son made his arrival has been a blur, so I am barely even aware that it is December and Christmas is upon us.  I am less than prepared for this holiday season.
Last year, I had a calendar, a calendar, of Christmas activities for us to do each day, many involved being nice to other people...

I scarcely know my first name some days right now and there is still a pumpkin on my front porch.  Any countdown planning is a distant thought in the back of my mind.  It is buried with other thoughts of how  I could be an amazing wife and mother.
Speaking of being an amazing mother, this just in folks, it turns out taking too many pictures of your kids is detrimental to them some how.  My kids are in BIG trouble.  I'm taking names of therapist now if you know any.  That is a different topic for a different post.

Here I am, 11:30 pm determined to keep this little tradition up, even if I don't know my first name and the laundry is piled sky high!
With the warmest wishes, it my pleasure to welcome you to Making Art Again's Christmas Countdown.
Hoping you have visions of sugar plums all season long!
Now I must go remove the pumpkin from my porch.
Grace and Peace

All things considered...traveling back to VA with three children on a holiday weekend with full van and Gus, I think it's remarkable you had the presence of mind to turn on the computer. Pictures are precious ...and the blog is always touching. Dad and I will be checking in daily.

I will also be checking daily to see how your preparations are progressing.
Since the Thanksgiving weekend is only just over I don't think you should be too bothered that you still have a pumpkin on your porch.
