Reason #8...I'm Falling Off The "Love Reason Train," But...

I do have some great pictures!
Thanks to Punxsutawney Phil I feel there is a good chance we are not out of the woods when it comes to snow. However, our good friends came to see us in the winter b/c they wanted their kids to see what snow was like. I think they got a pretty good understanding of it!

I think that it is safe to say that when my husband and his childhood "best mate" get together it is very much like having two teenage boys around. The 10 or so inches of snow that fell on top of our already nice base of snow, sent them into "we must go sledding" panic. When the snow finally stopped they set out in our little town to find a sled.
No sleds were to be found, but they did come across a $9 air mattress at Walmart. People were staring as we toted three toddlers and air mattress to the most popular hills in town.I have to give them credit though, I was certain it would not work. However, not only was it the biggest sled on the mountain, it worked really well.
We all gave it a good try. Chiali and I went the wrong direction and went straight off a steep drop that ended in a pretty spectacular crash. We decided that Mommies were better left off to the sides with the babies.
Kev and Chris took each of the kids for a ride which they all hated!
Toddlers + Sledding= not that good of an idea
The camera battery died after this shot but at least we have proof that we did try it.

Everything is back to normal around here as we sent our dear friends home about an hour ago. The Little is napping, and I am avoiding housework by typing this blog. I may even try to get back on the "V-day Love Train," but I may have lost my motivation. Do not be disgruntled, I will keep up with my count down until Sunday!

Here's hoping you are more productive then I am!
Grace and Peace..xxx

Reason #5: No Good Reason

For no good reason I committed myself to posting 14 days in a row, forgetting that I was having company this weekend and posting and creativity time would be minimal. For that very reason, I would ask that you give me a "sick note" if I should happen to miss tomorrow and Sunday.

I will mention that it is snowing again. We were driving in it all day in hopes of making it to the ski slopes and cabin we rented for the weekend. Two separate times we did 360's on the interstate and came away with out a scratch. However, we never made it to the slopes or the cabin. We came home and we are safe.
Reason #5 must have something to do with thankfulness...

Here's hoping you safe at home too...
Grace and peace friends.

Reason #4 Power Heals

Bear with me on this one, b/c it is a little bit personal and is sure to not make sense.
When I was a working girl and I got dressed up every morning, putting on a perfect pair of shiny black heels with a pointed toe gave me a really good feeling about the day I was about to face. However, you can bet your bottom dollar, that at the end of the day I was more than happy to take those pretty black pumps off.
These days, my black heels spend most of their time on the shelf and I have transitioned to the "Mommy Shoe." It's practical, it's comfortable, and it matches almost everything (really?). Yes, the Mommy Shoe is functional, but it comes with high demands. You see even if your feet are tired at the end of the day the Mommy Shoe needs to stay on. The Mommy Shoe, must be able to tackle any mess, comfort hurts, teach, nurture, LOVE. The Mommy shoe must be able to discipline, but also must be disciplined itself in every area of life. The Mommy Shoe goes to a work and is held to high accountability.
It is true that those black heals can still bring a little grin to my face, but no matter how unkempt my hair is, or how many spots are on my shirt, or how many loads of laundry I've done, they will never be as great as my Mommy Shoes.
Reason to love #4 should probably read Devotion, but Power Heals sounded more creative...

Number 1 reason I gave up the heals for the boring gray slip on tennies, so I can play grocery store with Little...who by the way is shopping with coupons if you look closely and indecently needs fruit, veg, and a fire truck.

Reason #3: Desire

Our heart's desire, to love and be loved....thank you very much Ewan McGregor and Moulin Rouge.
The Little's desire, veggie puffs. Please don't try to take them from her for her scream is loud and long. Perhaps I should have just fed her dinner and stopped taking her picture by bribing her with snacks...hmmm.

Reason #2 Four Letter Words

Cold- having little or no warmth.
Snow-a precipitation in the form of ice crystals.
Cute- attractive, esp. in a dainty way.
Girl- a female child, from birth to full growth.
Love- affectionate concern for the well-being of others

As a whole, I would say that four letter words have relatively easy definitions to follow through with. For example....
I am very cold because of all this snow.
I believe that my little girl is cute.

Seeing that love is a four letter word, shouldn't that make it all the more easy to carry through with?
It's not like I'm throwing the words adulation, ardency, or inclination around. Words that if I used in sentence would make you question whether or not I had used them properly.
No.
Just the simple four letters of love, and if used in a sentence you have no question of its meaning.
I love ice cream.
I love getting coffee with friends.
I love Libby's dad, and her too.

Here's to using four letter words more often.
