When The Stars Aline

There are days as a mom that I feel like I'm doing it all wrong...

But every now and then-, you get a day that is almost perfect, there are no blow out diapers, no melt downs, just a pretty baby girl that lights up when you look at her, and her big sister, who was calling out things like "Mommy look at me, I fying a plane,"

This picture does no justice...I took the girls on a Ferris wheel by myself.  There was this moment at the tippy top when I felt really irresponsible as a parent.  I was using my leg as a seat belt.Photobucket

Libby was delightfully little girlish on the merry-go-round.  She named her horse Giddy-Up and didn't want to get off  After the second time around, we had to get off b/c Mama couldn't take the spinning anymore.

They wouldn't let Maggie ride a horse, go figure.  Instead she had to sit in a carriage and look cute.  So cute, that I started taking pictures and then couldn't stop.  This happens all the time.

There are about 50 posts that I've been writing today, but I haven't even got to the ones I had planned to write.  I just found lots of pictures that I haven't posted...so here they are all.  Scroll down. All picture, few words, the best kind of posts.

Call Me MacGyver

Fact:  Kev is away (of course Kev is away)

Fact:  Laura and her Mom are here visiting and we are having a great time

Fact:  The sink look like this after dinner
Photobucket
Fact:  Laura reached in the sink and found that a dish rag was clogging the disposal

Fact:  She plunged it.  That didn't work.  She called the 1 800 number on the side of the disposal, that was useless.  Nothing was going down...in fact it seemed like more was coming up.  Gr-oss.
Photobucket
Fact:  I called Kev, told him about it, then said "don't worry,  I got this babe"
Photobucket
Fact:  I did a lap of the house found an old coat hanger, a turkey baster, my flower printed rubber gloves, and Kev's tool bag
Photobucket
Fact:  Kev's tool bag was useless, but Laura organized it and took a picture
Photobucket
Fact:  While I was Googling the steps to unclog a kitchen sink, we heard a strange sound coming from the dinning room.  We found this
Photobucket
..of course my cat would bring a frog in the house while I am elbow deep in sink funk
Photobucket

Fact: Laura sucked all of the water out of the sink and disposal with a turkey baster
Photobucket
Fact: She is not acting in this picture...she was making this face the whole time
Photobucket
Fact: I took the pipes apart under the sink, found the clog (which made me gag), and unclogged it myself...not with any of my husband's fancy tools, but with my trusty coat hanger

Fact:  I hope you enjoyed this little interlude in baby pictures to relive my heroic tale from this evening...

Just call me Roto Rooter

Write, Read, Repeat

Did anybody else realize that I blogged about Maggie's 4 month birthday twice?  I didn't until I went back and read what I had written the last couple of posts.  The second post I claimed to not realize that her birthday past, but apparently I didn't realize that I did realize that her birthday had past...and that my friends is what living a busy life can do to your brain...
Photobucket
Going back and reading my blog I occasionally have become repetitive in what I write, like how many times can I tell you that Libs is spirited or tell you that Mags is four months old... but it's my own version of a baby book. It's our life how it was happening on that particular day or in that particular moment.

Speaking of baby books, if I were actually keeping one I would need to write down that Mags is sitting up like champ.  Her Dr. claims she has a strong core.  Yesterday she was perfecting her "downward facing dog" and I watch completely amazed as my teeny, tiny, girl schooted her way across the living room.  Isn't she too small for this?  Shouldn't she still be sleeping soundly in the crook of my arm?  Haven't I written this a million times?  Yes, yes, and yes.  It is what I do.  I live in daily amazement that time is such a precious and wicked thing.
Photobucket
She fell asleep in my arms tonight after I nursed her, and I made a promise to myself that I would not forget how wonderful it was watching her sleep.
Speaking of sleeping, she fell asleep after some very passionate bouncing the other day.  I tried to stop myself from waking her up, but my finger kept clicking the camera.  It was completely involuntary, I couldn't do a thing to stop myself from doing it.
Photobucket
That's all I've got for tonight.  I just wanted an update with these pictures in them.  I've taken quite a few pics to attach to words this week and didn't want these shots of my sweet girl to be lost in the shuffle. I still haven't officailly taken any new house pics, however these were taken in Maggie's room. There is nothing on the wall, but there is a diaper box in the background.
Photobucket
I need a new camera, along with the ever failing battery, it's inability to focus, its sometimes pulling to the left, it is now adding the lovely little vignette around the edges of my photos, like you see here...this was not edited in.
