Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

Yesterday we went to this palce and had a wonderful experience seeing beautiful images of our precious little GIRL! It was a wonderful time with several of our closest friends. The Wendy- lady, who did the scan, zoomed in on her heart and drew a cross over it and said that Jesus was already there! At that point I started crying and remained emotionally moved for the rest of the day. We now know that Liberty Rose Jones is nestled cozy in my belly. It was probably the most amazing thing that I have ever seen. This experience could turn even the skeptiest of skeptics into a believer of an Inteligent Creator. I can't believe that she went from something that looked liked a bean to a teeny, tiny person (almost 1 pound). She wiggled and moved her mouth and at one point looked like she was going to suck her thumb and we got to see the whole thing on the big screen while eating popcorn! Heeps of thanks to Laura, Kari, Mrs. B., Abby, Bill, Ben, Joey, Mel, Caeden, and Owen for attending (and as a surprise to us paid admission) our Sneak Preview of Libby. We can't wait to meet her, out here in the open, in September! She has stolen our hearts and we love her!

I don't think that this picture needs an explanation!

This one looks just like Daddy

This one is my favorite!

No Show

After much anticipation of today's date, it would appear that it has turned out to be anticlimactic.
Today was the day we were to be told if we are having a little boy or a little girl. Unfortunately our wee one was not cooperating and remained tightly curled in a ball in a very modest position not willing to reveal any of her or his private parts...good baby! However, to us our "Bean" looked healthy and strong. It wiggled and squirmed and kick me quite hard several times, so we our thankful for that. Also, the tech did say that she saw a quick glance in the very beginning and she thought that she saw girl parts, but she said she wouldn't tell everyone it's a girl, and she wouldn't go buy all pink things....
I guess we'll have to try again.

On a happier note, here are our latest snapshots and probably the most beautiful profile I have ever seen in my whole life.

Look at that round belly

This last one is just a profile, and for those of you who think like my husband, that is an arm or an elbow not an indication of a baby boy!

Grow Baby Grow

2 parts water +1 part sun = one growing sweetie

After many suggestion that I will want these pictures later, I had Kev take some belly shots tonight. Seeing myself with quite the protruding tummy is a bit weird, but I'm excited to know that my insides are expanding and making room for my Bean(which according to babycenter.com is actually more like a turnip now!)
*please note that I was doing anything possible to make myself look small...it didn't work, but I did achieve some funny faces. Also, please excuse the appearance of vanity I have created by posting 6 pictures of myself, focus on the baby belly and it seems less vain!

This one is my barefoot and pregnant look!

Referencing

I seem to be interested in the past right now b/c I keep referencing old posts, but if if you will travel back in time with me, to my early blogging days you will remember this post.
So you know, we never replaced the AC last summer, nor did we replace it this fall or winter. We did a quick fix hoping that we could replace it when we had the money. Well, we're still working on that money thing and the fix has stopped working. So it's hot again, and a thunder storm with a bit of wind would be greatly appreciated!
God will provide and I know we'll sleep soundly tonight. However, if I could covet your prayers as I have some car issues this weekend plus more to come and my dear Mr. Jones had some car issues today, fixing the house AC is not a financial option at this point. Pray that the second quick and cheap fix will hold.

No One Panic

If you read this entry you may have been worried about the relationship between me and my shaggy companion. Just so you know, our relationship is on the mend largely due to this woman.
He sits, he stays, he lays down when you ask him to, and sometimes he does these things without bribing him with a treat.
He's back to being my giant, sweet puppy again.

Amen

Swish. swish, swoosh

At some point I seem to have become confused about what week/month of pregnancy I'm on. I think that this is due to the fact that I'm always wishing that I'm further then I am and the last time I had a midwife appointment I met with a different one than normal and she said that I was a week further than I am. Regardless of the week all of my books say that I should or may be feeling a little bit of movement. It's a strange concept b/c I don't know what I am supposed to be feeling, but 3 times now I have felt a strange swishy feeling when I wasn't expecting it. I don't know for sure that this was the Bean(as we affectionately call our sweetling) but I am almost sure. So now all I do is rub my belly constantly in hope that at some fleeting moment I'll feel the little swish, swish again!
